Museum of Ice Cream Miami

Visiting the Museum of Ice Cream has been on my bucket list ever since it started popping up all over my Instagram feed (I follow one too many fashion bloggers!) It’s definitely pricey at $35 PP but it includes lots of ice cream samples and some pretty amazing photo ops.  They do not sell tickets on site so you must purchase in advance and they sell out often.

One thing I do want to clarify is this isn’t really a museum-you really don’t learn anything by visiting.  I don’t say that like it’s a bad thing just if you were expecting to go and learn about ice cream or how its created you’ll leave disappointed. But if you go expecting a neon colored feast for the eyes filled with one too many incredible Instagram opportunities you will not leave disappointed!

The first room you get to visit is arguably the best room in the museum, the sprinkle pool! It is literally a shallow pool full of SPRINKLES.  Everything about the room is perfect, the pink tile, rose gold “shower” heads and of course more rainbow sprinkles than you can imagine.  Unfortunately, this portion of the museum is “timed” I think you get like 5 minutes in here-but it is just enough time dip your feet in the sprinkles and snap a few photos.

I’m happy to say the museum just kept getting better! I loved the Bunns Shake Room where a chocolate shape complete with a pink cherry on top comes out on a conveyer belt.  Next, we walked through the ice cream cone dance party fan room (watch your little ones heads in here-this room about gave me a heart attack but Davis loved the music).  The pink palm tree jungle complete with a banana seat and cherry swing was serious goals.  The final room of the museum is on the top floor with an outdoor patio and a gorgeous view of the ocean.

There were so many rooms to explore! Pro tip make sure your kiddo is well rested before you visit. Davis skipped his nap that day and he was over stimulated to the max. I’ve never seen him so utterly excited and then instantly start crying over the slightest thing. We made the most of it although sadly we rushed through the museum a bit. I won’t lie at one point Gabe looked at me and said we gotta go….to which I replied I did not spend 70 bucks for us to be here for 10 minutes! In the end we were both happy we stayed because Davis really did love it and so did we!  I highly recommend checking it out if your in Miami, LA, San Francisco or NYC!
