Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up

I’m an absolute sucker for anything pop-up! Truly, if it’s a themed insta-worthy installation consider me there. I love it even more when I can find a Groupon for it! I check Groupon weekly for tickets and events. I’ve found the best use of Groupon is to try and only buy a Groupon for something you were going to do anyways! Otherwise we tend to forget about it only to pull it up the week before it expires and force ourselves out of the house to go use it (we’ve all been there!) So, I was very excited to find a Groupon for something I’d been dying to check out!

Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up is the perfect way to spend a crisp Fall afternoon! During the day it’s very family friendly.  They have spooky carnival games, a pretty amazing corn maze & of course a million pumpkins!  For the grown-ups there’s axe throwing, gypsy caravans for fortune telling & 4 full-service bars. I was pleasantly surprised to see that food isn’t marked up an arm and a leg! They have tons of local Chicago food trucks with plenty of diverse food options. We kept it simple and enjoyed a delicious Apple Cider donut for $2!

Now for the various pop-ups…there are tons of amazing photo opportunities.  Davis particularly loved climbing in the old pick-up truck, exploring the tee-pees and “riding” the tractor.  My favorites were the Nightmare Before Christmas set-up, pumpkin walled house and the half moon we found in the corn maze.  Jude had a great time hangin with mama in the back of the pick-up truck! Every direction you look there is something new to see.

Even though a line had already formed around the corner we were able to find free parking right outside the door! It started to get really crowded around noon and we were very grateful we had the place mostly to ourselves at the beginning.  Plus, I cannot imagine what that corn maze is like when they are really hoppin! We legit couldn’t find our way out of the corn maze-we ended up going back to where we entered and I think I would have felt a bit anxious if it had been super crowded.  img_7310img_7309img_7308img_7307img_7306img_7305img_7304

img_7302img_7301img_7300img_7299img_7298img_7297We had a really amazing time! I’m so happy that we went. It was a gorgeous Fall day and both boys had a blast.  They’ve really put together an experience that has a little something for everyone.  We’ll definitely be adding Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up to our yearly Fall bucket list!
