One of the first things I googled when we started to plan our trip was “what are the most romantic restaurants in Mykonos.” I mean, baby free vacation = romance, right? One restaurant that kept coming up again and again was Spilia.
Spilia is located right on the water, literally carved into a natural rock formation. Spilia in Greek literally means Cave. The most fun way to access this restaurant is by walking along the water, over wooden planks, right on the rocks-it’s a beautiful little path. Once you arrive at the restaurant the first thing you notice is the canopy covering the restaurant. It’s almost like a leaf camouflage, something you may use hunting? It sounds weird but it’s oddly beautiful and when the sun shines through causing pretty little shadows everywhere.

We were seated immediately at a cute little table right on the water. The service was great and we were treated like royalty! I know I keep saying it but I’ll say it again-go to Greece in May! We were their first customers of the day at about 1PM when we arrived for lunch. Because of this they let us pick out a complimentary bottle of wine just for being their first customers! Since we knew we’d be ordering seafood we went with a crisp bottle of rose. It was amazing and definitely hit the spot!
We started with the bruschetta some of the best I’ve ever had, the tomatoes were so fresh and had just the right amount of garlic. As I walked around to explore a bit I noticed the octopus hanging in the sun and knew we had to try it! The sun-dried octopus was absolutely delicious. After that we split the seafood linguine. The pasta was perfectly el dente and full of clams, mussels and shrimp in a white wine sauce. We ended the meal with chocolate covered strawberries. It was literally the perfect, most romantic seaside lunch.

I love these fun earrings I found in the Target clearance bin. They are Sugarfix by BaubleBar (Similar)

After we were sufficiently full and admittedly a little liquored up we headed back to Agia Anna Beach to sleep off our buzz seaside. This relatively peaceful beach is located in a secluded cove. We were there on opening day so it was pretty empty. The water itself is crystal clear and full of fish (which kind of freaked me out because they swim right between your legs!) You do have to pay for lounge chairs here at around 25 Euros per chair.

Confession time, do you ever buy something because it’s such a good deal you can’t not buy it? Well these sunglasses were one of those deals. I found these at Charlotte Russe for $1 and I couldn’t say no! But now, after seeing them in pictures I’m thinking maybe I should have said no!?!? Let’s just say I know they look like they only cost $1 and leave it at that….

I love love love the colors on this Kimono Coverup from Amazon! And it’s under $13!

Overall, we enjoyed our time at Agia Ana. It’s less crowded than most of the beaches in Mykonos. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a delicious meal at Spilia!
