Petit Champlain

Petit Champlain is something out of a French fairytale (at least my Americanized version of a French fairytale!) Founded in 1608, it is considered the oldest commercial district in North America.   The cobble stone streets, colorful window panes and seemingly endless flower boxes make for a beautiful afternoon stroll.

I loved every moment exploring this area.  Every corner you turn uncovers a new charming building, quaint cafe or cute alleyway.  One pleasant surprise is that the city goes all out with Halloween Décor! Anyone that knows me knows that Halloween is my favorite holiday and Quebec City gets the decorations just right.  Honestly, every minute I spent there I just kept thinking wow this city so gets me!
