When planning our trip to Florida I was a little bummed we’d have to stay near the airport close to Gabe’s work meeting. I felt like I was missing out on Miami since we weren’t right on the Ocean and I really wanted to spend a day lounging in the sun. I wanted to stay at a place that really gave me vacation vibes! Enter the Confidante!
We bought day passes for $35 per person on Resortpass.com. This is a great option for someone on a budget! Although $35 may sound like a lot if you compare it to the nightly rate at one of these upscale hotels you really are saving a ton of money! The day pass included use of the pools, beach, towels, and reduced price valet parking. My advice, stay at a cheaper hotel and treat yo self to a day pass somewhere!
Walking into the Confidante feels like walking into a what I imagine Miami to be like during the 1950’s. The art deco inspired design is seriously stunning! The hotel and pool facilities are all modern and updated but they did an excellent job at maintaining that mid-century modern feel.
The pool area is gorgeous and quintessential Miami Beach! They have a child friendly pool and an adults only pool. As a parent and a sometimes child free traveler I love the option of two pools! Davis loved playing with the other kids and building, actually lets be honest mostly destroying sand castles in the sandbox area next to the pool. A few virgin mango daiquiris later and that kid was living the life!
Next we decided to head to the ocean! The beach area is flooded with colorful umbrellas and lounge chairs. The staff set us up with two chairs and an umbrella right in front facing the ocean. It was truly stunning.
I highly recommend checking out the Confidante if you are in Miami! The pool and ocean area are incredible, the drinks and food were delicious and the décor is truly a feast for the eyes. We had the most wonderful day at the Confidante!
